Students

There are many ways that students contribute to the Yellow Ribbon Project. You can volunteer to help at Yellow Ribbon Project events by providing logistical support, make a donation to the Yellow Ribbon Fund, or simply show your support by participating in the many exciting Yellow Ribbon Project events we have lined up for you.

You can also help to spread the message of second chances among your classmates by organising a community screening of any one of these four powerful films about the challenges that ex-offenders face when they finish their sentence:

• Twilight Kitchen, 90 mins (Mandarin with English subtitles)
  "Twilight Kitchen" tells the gripping tale of an ex-offender (Zhang Wen Xiang) as he comes to terms with life after prison and how he copes with his job and his friends. Also stars Moses Lim, Zhu Houren and Tang Miao Ling.
• Coming Home, 83 mins (English with Chinese subtitles)
  "Coming Home" brings the audience through the experiences of three ex-offenders - a formerly successful copywriter, a former multi-millionaire entrepreneur and a young rebellious substance abuser - as they try to reintegrate into society after serving their sentences. Stars Aaron Aziz, Timothy Nga, Chua Enlai, Melody Chen, Moses Lim and others.
• Green Grass, 24 mins (English)
  Green Grass is about the life testimony of a former drug offender and his road to reintegration.
• Turning Point, 24 mins (English, Mandarin)
  A docu-drama about former offenders and the people who have helped them in the journey back to society.

Teachers/School Administrators

You are in the unique position to be able to inspire your students with the message behind the Yellow Ribbon Project. Arrange for your class or co-curricular activity group to volunteer at Yellow Ribbon Project events and activities.

Some events that have proven to be popular with student volunteers include Yellow Ribbon Flag Day and Wear a Yellow Ribbon Week.
