Welcome to the Yellow Ribbon Project

The Yellow Ribbon Project (YRP) seeks to engage the community in giving ex-offenders a second chance at life and to inspire a ripple effect of concerted community action to support ex-offenders and their families.

YRP spearheaded by the Community Action for the Rehabilitation of Ex-Offenders (CARE) Network, aims to improve the effectiveness of rehabilitation of ex-offenders in Singapore through rehabilitation initiatives to help them reintegrate into society.

Through the YRP, we also hope to generate greater awareness of the need for second chances, inspires more Singaporeans to accept ex-offenders into their lives and encourages more to come forward to demonstrate support for the campaign.

Yellow Ribbon Roadshows 2016

This is no ordinary run. It's a race to complete the distance, while bearing in mind the difficult journey ahead for ex-offenders. Every turn you make is an obstacle they face. As you battle against exhaustion, they struggle against stigmatisation. But with each step forward, you are closer to leaving non-acceptance behind.

In 2016, Yellow Ribbon Project will be organising a series of  roadshows and exhibitions nationwide in heartland shopping malls.

The campaign hopes to rally local communities in offering second chances through “action” for ex-offenders and their families. By organizing such interactive engagements, we hope the  audiences are able to relate to the message of giving second chances.
